My youngest has been watching a few YouTube art videos lately and wanted to have a go at Spin Art. Was fun to do, just had to make an adapter for my drill and a small paint tent to catch the spinning off paint, and away we went….

Week 3 With Eddie The Elf..
Another week with our elf, and as always he’s been busy. A few presents like new slippers and a slush maker. He’s also been getting up to mischief with paint wrapping up Ryans packed lunch and playing cards late into the night for gold coins……

Guess Who’s Back!?
Yes Eddie the Elf is back for another Christmas at the Dixon’s.. His door appeared a few days before the end of November. Now I know we have been getting ready for Christmas for about a month now here, but can you blame anyone for wanting something to focus on with the year we have all had…?

Week 11 – End Of Times.
As week 11 passes by, I get the feeling that the whole planet is on a imploding trajectory. What was bad enough having to try and quarantine the whole population for what we thought might be a few weeks, and what seemed like 30% didn’t think it included them, and how we are going to see financial and job difficultes for years to come, we now have the Black Lives Matter protests. Yes, of course they are very important, and yes of course people should be protesting and the correct people should be held responsible for racism. I just think a small portion of the protesters are just using it to go out and be violent and damage property under the disguise of a very good cause….

Week 10 – Getting Out And About..
Over 70 day’s now since I started working from home. My youngest has been home for about the same amount of time. He will most likely not be going back to school until September. My eldest has now finished high school and is now waiting on news of his exams and a college place. I know it’s going to be a very long time before something like normality comes around. All we can do is just try our best to stay positive, wash your hands and Social Distance…..

Week 8 – ……sigh
Over 8 weeks, for me almost 60 days working and basically not leaving the house has, I think finally hit. Yes I have walked around to the local shop for essentials, walking the dog in the mornings and the odd family walk locally. But no real interaction with anyone else, and yes I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m missing interaction with …..a few people….

Week 7 – Kylo’s Birthday, VE Day and Water Fight’s
Another week down, and if you’re not counting or haven’t seen the title, we have just gone through week 7 of the lockdown. Think it’s now starting to wear us down, with no really sign of anything changing anytime soon. What I thought at the beginning would be over in a few novelty weeks, is now looking more like 6 months plus……
