  • A Few Days In London

    Last weekend we had the chance to go to London for a few days on our own without the boys. So we tried to see and get as much as we could done in the time we had.

  • Break In The Lakes – Penrith

    Last week we had a nice break in the Lake District, a place near Lowther Castle in Penrith. We had the perfect weather with lots of sun, and no rain 😉 Plenty of walking was done, food was eaten and drinks were had.

    After a couple of years being cancelled last weekend was the Blackpool Airshow, so we thought we would go on the Sunday. Early start and there before 10am, over four hrs before it starts (show starts at 2.10pm) and it was already busy. I know the weather was great, but god it was busy….

  • A Visit To South Lakes Safari Zoo.

    Had a nice trip into the Lakes today for a Zoo Safari. We haven’t been here since 2014, so made a nice change. Not as big as Chester or Blackpool Zoos, but worth half a day.

  • Christmas Trails at Dunham Massey 2021

    Christmas has arrived at the Dixons… The tree and decorations went up yesterday and today (pictures to follow), and tonight we went onto Dunham Massey for their Christmas Trail. It was really nice to see, took about one hour to walk all the way round. It was cold but stayed dry.
