Last weekend we had the chance to go to London for a few days on our own without the boys.
So we tried to see and get as much as we could done in the time we had.
An early start got us into London Euston Station before 9:30am and straight onto the tube to see some of the film statues around Leicester Square.
St Pauls Cathedral and the surrounding area was next, then down to the water front to the Millennium Bridge which unfortunately was closed for maintenance, but we walked around for a while along the Thames.
Next stop was Covent Garden for some lunch and a good look around the market before heading to our hotel.
We were booked on the London Eye “Champagne Experiences” for the early evening which was really good. The views were amazing and the timing was spot on, as the sun was going down and London was lighting up. After that we dinned at Black & Blue in the South Bank, and food was really nice.
The next day was wet in the morning. We headed to Buckingham Palace and managed to catch a bit of the Changing of the Guards, but we got there too late to get close to the railings, and there was so many umbrellas.. After that we walked around Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens before lunch and heading back over to Covent Gardens again, Trafalgar Square, Chinatown and one last look around Leicester Square at night before heading for the train home….. Now I need a rest.
